Collectors and philanthropists have had an increasing impact on the cultural landscape, across the globe, during the last decades. Art collectors are the new curators, something that has been famously and eloquently illustrated by the popular artist Pablo Helguera. 

As the first wave of collectors have opened their art institutions in the Baltic States, what can they learn from their Nordic counterparts? What role do the private and corporate collectors play in the Nordic region, and what set of values and visions are guiding them? And more importantly, how can they inspire the involvement and generosity of other businesses towards art, culture and charity?
