In the realm of comparative and international education, few topics generate heated debates like the issue of public versus private education. While governments are struggling to provide the resources necessary for universal access to quality education, the covid-19 pandemic has manifested the commercialization of education with rapid shifts to remote online learning - ultimately bringing the tech sector to the centre of the debate. Considering this development and an increased interest from global corporations and philanthropic foundations in education, both new challenges and new opportunities for public-private interactions have arisen.
